Privacy Policy

Last updated 2026-11-09

Palm Kanji is run by 株式会社忘我 ("we"). This policy explains what happens to your data when you use https://palmkanji.com. Short version: we read your palm photo once and never keep it.

Palm photos

• Your browser shrinks the photo and removes its metadata (such as GPS location) before upload.
• Our server sends it to Anthropic's Claude AI to produce the reading, then discards it. We never store it in a database, file or log, and we don't keep any measurement of your hand.
• Anthropic processes it as our service provider. Under its commercial terms, Anthropic does not use it to train AI models; it may keep it for a limited time for safety and abuse monitoring.
• If you choose a paid reading, your photos wait on your own device (browser storage) while you pay, and are deleted after the reading or within 2 hours.
• We don't use photos to identify you, and we never sell or share them for any other purpose.

Payments

Payments are handled by Stripe. We receive a record of the purchase (amount, country, and the email you give Stripe) but never your full card number. Stripe's privacy policy applies to the data you give it.

Other data

• Your IP address is held briefly in server memory to limit how many readings one person can run per hour.
• A bot check (Cloudflare Turnstile) may run to stop automated abuse.
• Our hosting provider keeps standard technical logs (such as IP address and time of request).
• We have no user accounts and set no advertising cookies.

Why we process it

To provide the reading you ask for (performance of a contract), to prevent abuse and fraud (legitimate interest), and to meet tax and accounting duties for purchases (legal obligation). You agree to the photo processing with the checkbox before upload.

Your rights

You can ask what we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it. Because we don't keep photos, there is usually nothing to delete except purchase records we must keep for tax. If you are in the EU or UK you can also complain to your data protection authority. Contact: support@bouga.jp.

Age

Palm Kanji is for people aged 16 and over.

Changes

We will post any changes here and update the date above.
